DPRD is Optimistic to Complete Reviewing APBD 2020 Before November 30

Jakarta Council (DPRD) is optimistic to finish reviewing City Budget (APBD) 2020 no later than November 30, 2019.

It refers to Government Regulation No. 58/2005 about Regional Financial Management that mandating approval from governor and DPRD related APBD that must be completed by November 30.

After AKD, Jakarta DPRD Chairperson, Prasetio Edi Marsudi explained, DPRD will work optimally in making various decisions, including to review APBD 2020.

"We will work optimally because AKD has been formed. Insya Allah, APBD 2020 to be completed on time. We will review it carefully and thoroughly," he explained after Plenary Meeting about the Announcement of Composition of Leads and Members of Tool Fittings Parliament (AKD) at Jakarta DPRD Building, Monday (10/21).

Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairperson, Mohamad Taufik stated, today's AKD establishment signs to begin reviewing Provisional Budget Priorities and Funding Levels (KUA-PPAS) of APBD 2020 together with SKPDs and UKPDs as their partners based on their sectors for each commissions.

"I'm sure APBD 2020 to be finished before November 30. Bamus will immediately put it on the schedule," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Budgeting Metropolitan Watch's Public Policies Observer, Amir Hamzah stated APBD 2020 should be preceded by agreement signing between Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and Council Chairperson.

"We hope after AKD is formed, they can hold plenary meeting to convey about APBD 2020 draft as soon as possible," he conveyed.

APBD 2020, he continued, is also related with Jakarta Provincial Government's OPD rearrangement plan.

"Changes to the nomenclature should be also the main focus," he added.
